Information About

Kris, Office Manager
I'm Kris and you will usually find me anywhere in the office making sure everything is running smoothly. I have worked for Drs Johannsen and Baggarly since 1998 and wear many hats, including insurance billing and patient accounts. I am also a certified Optician for both eyeglasses (ABOC) and contact lenses (NCLE) with over 21 years experience. It's always a pleasure to meet new patients and to greet familiar patients when they return each year.
Away from the office I enjoy taking my dogs for a walk or going for a bike ride around Puddingstone Park -wearing my Rudy Project sunglasses of course. I also think it's fun to watch the Dogers play baseball, especially when they win!
Pamela, Optician/LASIK Coordinator
I have one of THE most fun jobs! I help you with your selection of eyewear and lenses! I've been an optician for Drs Johannsen and Baggarly since 1998 and the most rewarding part of my job is when our patients return saying, "I love my new glasses and have gotten so many compliments on them! Thank you so much for your help!"
I am also our LASIK coordinator, able to answer your LASIK questions, schedule your surgical appointments, and walk you through the entire procedure, setting your mind at ease. Call me anytime with your LASIK questions!
Going to flea markets, refurbishing old furniture, and most important, spending time with my husband and our two Labrador Retrievers are my favorite ways to relax.
Mellissa, Appointments/Insurance Authorizations
Hi! I am one of the first friendly voices to welcome you to our office by phone! I coordinate the appointments for our doctors, verify any insurance authorizations, and answer most questions you may have. Even though I'm "behind the scenes," I enjoy interacting with patients, making you feel comfortable and confident in our services.
When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my family. I'm very involved in my children's sports and school activities, as well as our church.
Jason, Lab Technician/Optician
If you peek in our onsite optical lab, you will see me making your glasses! I have 8 years of hands on experience in my profession. After helping you select the right eyewear for your needs, the most rewarding part of my job is fabricating those lenses to the most precise prescription standards, giving you comfortable and clear vision!
When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family either at the beach, Disneyland, playing board games, riding bikes and walking with my wife.
Please feel welcome to stop by our lab to ask questions or just say "Hello" the next time you're in our office. I truly look forward to helping you with your optical needs!
Serrina, Special Testing
My name is Serrina and I have a fun and interesting job. I am the one who does the infamous,"Puff of Air" test, you know, the one you always look forward to?!? Besides this eye pressure test, I test your visual fields, measure the curvature and power of your eyes, take topographic measurements of your corneas, and digitally photograph of the inside of your eyes! Neat, huh! Well, I think operating these high tech instruments is great and I look forward to explaining how they all work the next time you are in our office!
I'm currently a student of Maric College, majoring in criminal law. In my spare time I enjoy my family, friends, school activities and listening to music.
Teri, Optician
You can tell I enjoy my job because I'm known for always having a smile on my face. Bringing you over 25 years experience, I'm confident in my ability to help you navigate the many frame styles and lens options to find what is best suited to your lifestyle and prescription needs. I pride myself in building a rapport with each patient so that I know, from year to year, how you like your eyewear to look and feel!
In my spare time I enjoy having fun with my five grandchildren and shopping for antiques.
Lauren, Patient Services/Frame Management
"Hi" and "How can I help you?" are the two most common things I say! I'm the friendly and energetic person you will see at the front desk, ready to help when you come in for that exam, frame adjustment, or repair (hey, it happens). When I'm not welcoming patients I can usually be found organizing the frames boards and displays, making sure we have all the latest frame styles ready for you.
I am also a student at Chaffey College where I am completing my prerequisites for nursing school.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
