We understand you have many choices for vision care and aim to deliver the highest quality vision care to our patients. Our genuine enthusiasm and excellent service combine to create happy and healthy patients who return for recommended follow-up care and refer family and friends to our office. Our patients usually find us because someone was kind enough to recommend us. We appreciate this confidence and trust and we take our responsibility to live up to this trust earnestly. We strive to treat all patients with sincere kindness, courtesy, respect and fairness.

Claremont Optometry is proud to be celebrating 50 years of practice this year!
In Claremont since 1972
Our patients make our history special! Over the years, our patients seem more like family than patients and this is what makes us enjoy what we do. After 40 years in the Claremont Village, we now have more exam rooms and a larger optical boutique with plenty of parking in our present location at 695 W. Foothill Blvd. We designed every inch to our specifications. Our patients have enjoyed the many special design touches and attention to detail not to mention all of the latest technology supported in our new location. Today it is respected as one of the most environmentally conscious and technologically advanced practices in Southern California.
Your First Visit
Is it your first time visiting us? Maybe it's your first eye exam. Our doctors are very experienced providing vision care for seniors, adults and children.

Optometrists provide vision care like prescribing glasses or contact lenses but also treat medical eye conditions that do not require surgery. Vision care plans cover a yearly vision exam for glasses or contact lenses and a health screening but most do not cover medical eye care. We accept Medicare and PPO's for medical eye care. Examples include dry eyes, infections allergies, diabetic eye care, glaucoma, evaluations for visual disturbances, red eyes and cataract care.

New patients are encouraged to call the office to schedule their first exam to be sure we get accurate insurance information. Former patients can schedule their annual comprehensive exams online. The beginning will seem like any regular doctor appointment you may have had in the past. We want to be informed and prepared, so we ask that you complete your medical history online prior to your exam.

Our qualified technicians will perform preliminary tests, collecting history and gathering more clinical information. Our doctors will review everything and complete the comprehensive exam. At the conclusion of your exam, your doctor will record a prescription for glasses. Additionally, a contact lens exam can be performed if requested.

During the exam, the doctors check your overall eye health, by monitoring the pressure within your eyes to assess risk for glaucoma. We also evaluate the tissue in and around the front of the eye and any neurological issues by doing a pupil assessment. Some exams will require dilation or Optomap wide field retinal imaging to further examine your eye health.

Many vision problems and eye diseases present very little symptoms. That’s why it’s so important to make regular appointments to see your eye doctor. And since vision can change gradually over time, it’s important to know that you’re seeing your best, year after year.
